THR is reporting that Sony has pushed back the release of the still Untitled Cameron Crowe/Hawaii Project. The movie was set to be released on Christmas day in the US but the release is now pushed back to May 29, 2015.
Sony has pushed back Cameron Crowe’s untitled romantic comedy from December 25, 2014 to May 29, 2015.
The Hawaii-set film features an all-star cast including Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams. It follows a military contractor (Cooper) who returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs – the U.S. Space program in Honolulu, Hawaii – and reconnects with a long-ago love (McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog (Stone). Bill Murray also stars as an enigmatic billionaire with suspicious intentions.
The cast is rounded out by John Krasinski, Danny McBride and Alec Baldwin.
Crowe wrote and directed the project, and produced it by Scott Rudin. Ilona Herzberg, Eli Bush and Ben Waisbren executive produced.
The new date puts the film up against horror sequel Insidious Chapter 3 and Paramount’s Monster Trucks.
The Wrap is reporting the following statement of Jeff Blake, chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution for Sony Pictures:
“Once we saw the film, we knew that it would make a perfect summer release. The movie is Cameron at his best,” said Jeff Blake, chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution for Sony Pictures.

Author Emily Giffin talked to Popsugar about her new book “The One & Only” and they also talked about “Something Blue” and Giffin said the following:
Popsugar: Everyone is of course wondering what’s happening with “Something Blue”
Giffin: It’s defenitely happening. I’m writing the script which I’m thrilled about; you know the first draft and it’s happening and all the cast is on board.
The Popsugar reported also revealed she is team John Krasinski. You can watch the interview above or by visiting the popsugar website.
This is not really related to John’s career, but I had to share these videos of John’s wife Emily Blunt making an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres and Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her upcoming movie “Edge Of Tomorrow“. She talks about Hazel.
In case you missed it, John shared an adorable photo of Hazel on his official twitter account earlier this week.
Deadline is reporting that will star and direct “The Hollars“. Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins, and Margo Martindale are set to join him as cast.
The Office alum John Krasinski has lined up The Hollars as his next directing effort after helming his first feature, 2009?s Brief Interviews with Hideous Men — and he has enlisted Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins, and Margo Martindale to join him. Krasinski also will star in the lead as John Hollar, an aspiring NYC artist who takes his girlfriend (Kendrick) back to his Middle America hometown on the eve of his mother’s (Martindale) brain surgery. There he’s forced to navigate the crazy life he left behind as his dysfunctional family, high school pals, his father (Jenkins), and his over-eager ex flood back into his life ahead of the operation.
The pic is produced by Krasinski’s Sunday Night banner and scripted by James C. Strouse in what’s described as a blend of Steel Magnolias and Garden State. Tom Rice and Ben Nearn are producing for Sycamore Pictures, which recently produced The Way Way Back and Begin Again. Groundswell’s Michael London is also a producer. Sunday Night’s Allyson Seeger is exec producing alongside Strouse and Groundswell’s Janice Williams. Panorama is handling international sales and will put the project in front of buyers at Cannes. WME is handling domestic sales and reps Krasinski, who is also repped by attorney James Adams. Strouse is repped by ICM Partners. Jenkins and Martindale are repped by Gersh; CAA reps Kendrick.
Deadline is reporting that “Adult Swin” pilot got the green light. John is executive producer.
EXCLUSIVE: Adult Swim has given the green light to Dream Corp LLC, a live-action/rotoscope hybrid pilot executive produced by former The Office star John Krasinski. Created/executive produced by Daniel Stessen (The Gold Sparrow), the project stars Lost alum Jon Gries. It is set at Dream Corp LLC, an experimental therapy facility that creates a virtual reality for patients to confront issues in their waking life by simulating their wildest dreams. Guided by the eccentric Dr. (Gries), a team of unique scientists document and conduct their research that hasn’t been funded since 1992. Like a poorly maintained carnival ride, the program has developed some questionable kinks throughout the years. The patients change from week to week, but despite the advice of their loved ones and their own instincts, they keep coming back.
Deadline is reporting that John is so to executive produce the series “Jackass Of All Trades“.
TBS has put in development Jackass Of All Trades, a male-lead comedy executive produced by John Krasinski. Penned and co-executive produced by first time tv writers Seth Fisher and Danny Mackey, Jackass Of All Trades centers on a devoted stay-at-home dad who, after landing his family in dire financial trouble, resorts to earning a living doing odd jobs off of Craigslist… very odd jobs. Krasinski and Alyson Seeger will executive produce through Sunday Night Prods. alongside Aperture Entertainment’s Adam Goldworm.
Fisher wrote, directed and stars in indie Blumenthal and also recurred on The Good Wife. Mackey wrote for the second season of the Warner Bros. Digital series Aim High and also penned the feature adaptation of School Of Fear with McG attached to direct. Fisher and Mackey are repped by Paradigm and Myman Greenspan (Fisher is also with Aperture), though their deal was brokered by APA, Aperture and and attorney Rob Szymanski. WME-repped Krasinski co-stars in the untitled Cameron Crowe movie. Sunday Night Prods. is producing an action-adventure spec that Kransinski co-scripted with Oren Uziel for Warner Bros.
